What is Camper College?
Camper College is a 4-module training program where each module has different curriculum, giving each event a different focus on RV systems training. These courses are a true hands-on, deep dive training which give Girl Campers the confidence to not only operate their RVs safely, but also perform their own seasonal maintenance items and acquire some basic skills to repair and troubleshoot on their own!
Whats included
Each Girl Camper will receive an official training binder to collect all Module training manuals and can add to it by attending the other Camper College modules! Initially Modules will be offered once a quarter and as we enter 2022 and beyond, you’ll begin to see more Camper Colleges across the US. Girl Campers who complete all four modules will receive a special completion certificate and recognition as a Girl Camper College Guru!

Where is Camper College held?
For 2021 and most of 2022, we are returning to the home of the National RV Training Academy, the Texan RV Park in Athens, Texas. This 37-acre east Texas campgrounds is located just on the brink of the Piney Woods of Texas! Hands-on training is like no other when we are staying onsite of the largest RV Maintenance technical training academy in the US. Your course instructors for Camper College are Certified RV Inspectors and Technicians who are also proud graduates of the NRVTA.

What does Camper College cost?
Each module training event is $395/pp plus lodging. Your ticket price will include approximately 15 hours of hands-on RV maintenance training, the training manuals and materials, some training tools/supplies for hands-on exercises, some catered meals, event goodies and swag, and access to schedule additional service appointments* with Certified RV Technicians and Certified RV Inspectors. The event will take place over a 5-day spread with Day 1 as check-in and welcome activities, Days 2 – 4 as training days and Day 5 as a check-out.
Each Camper College will have a social activity schedule as well and some items will be included in your event ticket with other optional activities for a charge. Attendees will receive the details upon registration.

Who are the hosts?

Stephanie Henson
Stephanie (aka the Babe) and her husband, Todd (aka the Beard), along with Xena (their Giant Schnauzer), are known as Two Beards and a Babe. Stephanie and Todd help educate RV consumers and also teach with the National RV Training Academy for individuals looking to begin a business as Certified RV Inspectors and Certified RV Technicians. Stephanie is the Director of Administration for the National RV Inspectors Association and helps RV buyers find an RV Inspector who can help them understand the condition of an RV before purchasing. Stephanie travels to Camper Colleges with their 2016 Grand Design Momentum toy-hauler and brings Xena-Belle along when she can. Todd is also a sometimes instructor with Camper Colleges and supports all women who desire to learn and take care of their own RVs. You can find Todd’s Tech Tip Tuesdays on YouTube!

Brenda Puckett
Brenda has been camping her whole life in just about every style possible including a tent, a pop-up trailer, Class C and A motorhomes, and a Travel Trailer, all enabling her to truly embrace that there is “no wrong way to camp like a girl!” In 2020, Brenda turned her passion for RVing into a new career as a Certified RV Inspector and Registered RV Service Technician, then opened her own business: Queen Bee RV. Recently, Brenda has been paying it forward as a Teaching Assistant at the National RV Training Academy where she helps to educate individuals who are in pursuit of a mobile Certified RV Technician or Certified Inspector business of their own. As the Girl Camper Chapter Guide for Eastern Oklahoma, Brenda is able to share all of her experiences while hosting Girl Camper weekend events, writing for the blog and magazine, plus teaching RV maintenance workshops at gatherings large and small. When not camping, Brenda lives by the lake with Mr. Queen Bee (Jeff) and their pups in Northeast Oklahoma.
